Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars History
Since their first season in the National Football League (1995), the Titans and Jaguars have played twice every year in the regular season, in addition to one postseason game in 2000. In total, the two franchises have played 59 times, with the Titans leading the series head-to-head 35–24. The Titans (then the Houston Oilers) also won the AFC Championship against the Jaguars in 2000, 33–14 to advance to the Super Bowl. That season the Jaguars were 0–3 against the Titans, and had a 15–0 record against all other teams in the NFL.
Between 2020 and 2022, the team that has swept the series head-to-head between the Titans and the Jaguars has gone on to win the AFC South and receive an automatic berth into the NFL Playoffs. The Titans swept in both 2020 and 2021, scoring at least 20 points in all four games. However, the Jaguars exacted their revenge in 2022, sweeping the series for the first time since 2005 and clinching their first division title since 2017. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence led a come-from-behind victory in the final week of the regular season, both clinching the division and eliminating the Titans from the playoffs in one fell swoop.
