Reigning NFC champions Philadelphia Eagles had a dominant 2022–2023 campaign, going 14-3 and grabbing the number one seed in their conference on the way to a Super Bowl run. However, they split the season series with their NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys, winning 26-17 in Week 6 and faltering 34-40 in Week 16.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
As bitter rivals within the AFC North, matchups between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers are usually some of the most physical games played in the NFL. Entering the 2023–2024 season, the Steelers have won five out of the last six games against the Ravens. However, the two teams split their home and home matchup last season, with the away team winning in both Week 14 and Week 17.

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers are two of the oldest and most celebrated teams in NFL history. Since 1970, the Cowboys and 49ers have won 10 Super Bowls and 15 NFC Championships. Entering the 2023–2024 season, the two teams have met 39 times, with the head-to-head split being a draw (19–19–1).
The Cowboys have a slight edge in postseason results, winning five times in nine matchups, but the 49ers have recent momentum, winning the last two games against Dallas (including the 2022–2023 Divisional Playoff Game where San Francisco won 19–12). Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The rivalry between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles is one of the oldest in the National Football League, with the first game being played 90 years ago. Since 1934, Washington and Philadelphia have played 178 times, with the Commanders leading the head-to-head 89-83-6. The Commanders also won the lone postseason contest. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens are members of the AFC North, and animosity in the 2023–2024 season will be heightened. Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams
Because the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams play in different divisions, the two teams don’t meet that often. New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have both been members of the NFC South since 2002, and have played at least twice annually over the last 20 years. The Saints have effectively controlled the series head-to-head against the Buccaneers, winning 39 out of 63 matchups going into 2023. Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals
The rivalry between the Cardinals and the Seahawks is a relatively new one by the NFL’s standards, as they only started playing annually in the early 2000s due to division realignment. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills
This AFC rivalry features a must-see quarterback duel.
