When Do the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers Play Next?
Dallas Cowboys tickets and Green Bay Packers tickets can be found on their respective team pages, along with schedule information.
Are the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers Rivals?
Yes, the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers are rivals within the NFL. While the Cowboys are in the NFC East, the Packers are in the NFC North, so the two teams only play every three years in the regular season, instead of annually like division rivals. As two of the most historic franchises in the NFL, theirs is a natural rivalry due to both teams having notable prestige and the number of postseason matchups.
Who are the Dallas Cowboys’ Biggest Rivals?
The Dallas Cowboys have perhaps the most rivalries of any team in the NFL. Because they are referred to as “America’s Team,” they are extremely polarizing: fanbases either love them or hate them. Dallas’ most intense rivals are within the NFC East: the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants. Outside of their division, the Cowboys have rivalries with the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, the Los Angeles Rams, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Who are the Green Bay Packers’ Biggest Rivals?
If the Cowboys have the most rivalries in the NFL, the Packers are not far behind. As the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, Green Bay’s biggest rivals are their NFC North counterparts: the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. Historically, the Packers also have rivalries with the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers, the New York Giants, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Seattle Seahawks.
Game Results Between the Cowboys & Packers
Between 1960 and 2024, the Cowboys and Packers have played 39 times, including nine games in the NFL Playoffs. The Packers hold the edge in the all-time and regular season head-to-head, accumulating 22 wins to the Cowboys 17. Entering 2024, the postseason results between the two teams are split nearly even, as Green Bay holds the 5-4 edge.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers History
The history between the Cowboys and Packers has been trademarked by impressive runs of dominance by both sides. For example, in the 1960s, the Vince Lombardi-led Packers won all six games against the Cowboys, including the 1966 and 1967 NFL Championship Games. The game in 1967 is one of the most historically known games in NFL history, commonly referred to as the “Ice Bowl” because of -13 degree temperatures at Lambeau Field at kickoff.
The two teams only squared off 11 times in the ’70s and ’80s, with the Cowboys holding a narrow six-to-five edge in the head-to-head. However, Dallas went on their dominant run in the 1990s. Led by Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson, quarterback Troy Aikman, running back Emmitt Smith, and wide receiver Michael Irvin, the Cowboys went 9-1 against Green Bay, including playoff wins in 1993 in the Divisional Round on the way to a Super Bowl victory, 1994 in the Divisional Round and 1995 in the NFC Championship game.
The Packers would not stay down for long, winning eight out of nine games since 2010. Perhaps the most contentious game to date came in the 2014 Divisional Playoff game. While Green Bay won 26-21, controversy arose when Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant had a 31-yard catch ruled incomplete due to the referees’ interpretation of awkward language in the NFL rulebook. The game is commonly known as the “Dez Caught It” game.
Where Do the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys Play?
As the last of the small town franchises in the NFL and the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team, the Green Bay Packers have called Lambeau Field their home since 1957. While Soldier Field is the oldest stadium in the NFL, Lambeau Field is the oldest continuously operating and the fifth-largest stadium in the league. It has a maximum capacity of 81,441.
Meanwhile, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium, is about polish and shine. Built in 2009 in Arlington, Texas, AT&T Stadium is commonly referred to as “Jerry World” after Dallas owner Jerry Jones. The retractable-roof stadium is an architectural marvel, with an expandable capacity of up to 105,000 (the most in the NFL). Jerry World cost approximately $1.3 billion to complete.
