FivePoint Amphitheatre History
After 35 years, the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre closed in 2016, opening the door nearby for Irvine’s FivePoint Amphitheatre to become the premier outdoor concert venue in Orange County. Housed on the site of the old El Toro Marine Base in the Orange County Great Park, FivePoint Amphitheatre is a 12,000-person, all-ages venue.

Since FivePoint Amphitheatre’s opening show in October 2017 with Sir Sly, Young The Giant and Cold War Kids, the venue has hosted eclectic acts for all musical tastes. Country stars like Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean and Luke Combs have played at FivePoint, as well as legacy acts like Santana and Scorpions. A concert from big-name hip-hop acts (G-Eazy, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign) is as likely as contemporary rock and pop shows (Evanescence, Greta Van Fleet). FivePoint also often hosts shows from SoCal rock and alternative radio stations KLOS, KROQ and 95.9 The Fish.

Parking is free in the main lot, and a convenient rideshare dropoff is right outside the venue. Once you’re at FivePoint Amphitheatre, there are food options galore: Dog Haus offers artisan sausages on Hawaiian rolls. Questlove’s Cheesesteak makes the Philly classic using Impossible Meat. Hanjip Korean BBQ serves up tasty Korean fare. And there’s more to choose from. Alcoholic drink options are plentiful, and the venue even offers free fountain sodas and water for designated drivers.
