Inside the larger Observatory OC, the quaint Constellation Room is where Orange County music lovers go to discover the next big thing. Opened in 2011, on the previous site of the Galaxy Concert Theatre in the heart of Santa Ana, California, the venue has helped revive the area’s live music scene by bringing in local and rising acts in indie rock, punk, rap and R&B.

Through the years, the Constellation Room has welcomed a constant flow of bands. Indie rockers Cloud Nothings were one of the first to rock the room. Since, the small stage has made room for big indie stars, including chillwave pioneers like Washed Out and Neon Indian, shoegaze faves RIDE, punk provocateurs Pussy Riot, and famous frontmen gone solo like Interpol’s Paul Banks.
