Ace of Spades History

Opened in 2011, Ace of Spades sits in the heart of downtown Sacramento within the bustling R Street Corridor. The music venue has been at the center of R Street’s growth as an entertainment district, presenting a variety of concerts alongside a lively stretch of bars, restaurants, shops and lofts.

Ace of Spades Performers

When Ace of Spades first opened its doors, the concert hall hosted the fiery metal of Rob Zombie and the rap rock of nearby Vacaville natives Papa Roach in its first week. In the years since, Ace of Spades has booked diverse shows with hip-hop legends like Wu-Tang Clan, Too $hort and Snoop Dogg; contemporary alt-rock bands like Silversun Pickups, Against Me! and Jimmy Eat World; plus throwback acts like The English Beat and Pennywise. Don’t be surprised to find local rock, hip-hop and black metal bands playing on a particular evening too.
