Our Minimaster hosts Pilot and George recently went backstage at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles for an exclusive interview with Phantom of the Opera star Katie Travis, who has wowed critics with her portrayal of opera soprano Christine. Andrew Lloyd Weber’s beloved Phantom has been captivating fans of all ages for nearly three decades, and it’s a real treat to experience the magic of this perennial favorite through the eyes of younger theatergoers as Katie shares some behind-the-scenes tidbits specially tailored to kids.
Check out the video above to see Katie give our Minimasters the scoop on the spectacular new production’s gorgeous costumes, colorful sets, and dazzling pyrotechnics. But that’s not all. She also hints at some awesome special effects in regard to the chandelier — a central “character” in the story — that are sure to be a hit with the little ones.
The family-friendly show just celebrated its 700th performance — see the full list of upcoming performances here.
