This week, we have big tour announcements for kids of all ages, starting with some big-time Brit rockers, a legendary metal band, and an animated viral sensation. Meanwhile, a beloved film makes its way to the Broadway stage, and one of our favorite pop stars keeps making our lives sweeter.

1. The 1975 Return to the States

Brit rockers The 1975 have been nonstop touring in support of their critically acclaimed 2018 album, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, as they gear up for their upcoming record, Notes on a Conditional Form, expected to release this autumn. To keep the excitement going, they’ve just announced a few more dates in the U.S., starting in Camden, New Jersey, on November 16, and closing out in Broomfield, Colorado, on December 1. Tickets for the five new shows go on sale next Thursday, July 18.

 

2. Slayer Say Farewell

The final countdown begins: SLAYER announces THE FINAL CAMPAIGN, THE LAST LEG OF ITS FAREWELL WORLD TOUR. ⠀ On Saturday, November 2, 2019, SLAYER – Tom Araya/bass and vocals, Kerry King/guitars, Gary Holt/guitars and Paul Bostaph/drums – will set off on The Final Campaign, the seventh and final leg of its farewell world tour. Legendary metal band Slayer continue their long goodbye with the addition of one last leg to their Final World Tour. Called The Final Campaign, the last string of dates begins November 2 in Asheville, North Carolina, before wrapping up November 30 in Los Angeles. By the time the tour closes, they’ll have played a whopping 140 shows in 30 countries and 40 U.S. states. Primus, Ministry, and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals will be joining them for their last shows. Tickets go on sale today.

 

3. Baby Shark Heads to a City Near You

Alert your kids: viral sensation Baby Shark has not only teamed up with Nickelodeon, it’s also heading to the stage. Baby Shark and his friend Pinkfong will be dancing and singing their way through North America, starting October 3 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and up through November 8 in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets go on sale today.

 

4. Moulin Rouge! The Musical Gears Up for Broadway 

The stage adaptation of the beloved Baz Luhrmann movie Moulin Rouge! has started previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Broadway as it gears up for opening night on July 26. Aaron Tveit and Tony Award winner Karen Olivo star as Christian and Satine, respectively, taking on the roles of Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in the 2001 film. Tickets are on sale now.

 

5. Ariana Grande Keeps Giving It Her All

Ariana Grande has had a whirlwind couple of years — and she ain’t stopping anytime soon. Even so, the pop superstar has shown she’s just as human as the rest of us with some powerfully emotional performances as of late. There’s still plenty of chances to catch Grande on her Sweetener World Tour, which takes her around Europe and the U.S. for the rest of 2019. She returns to American soil on November 9 in Uniondale, New York, before closing things out on December 21 in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale now.
