Venue Guide: NYCB Theatre at Westbury, NY

NYCB Theatre at Westbury History

The venue formerly known as the Westbury Music Fair debuted its unique and intimate stage-in-the-round configuration under a tent in 1956. Launched as a Long Island alternative to Manhattan theaters, Westbury added a permanent building with a dome-like ceiling in 1966 to make it a year-round facility. The 360-degree stage offers an up-close-and-personal experience for both audiences and performers. A brilliant, multicolored, striped tent currently lends Westbury its festive feel.

NYCB Theatre at Westbury Performers
