Inside Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel & Casino on Canal Street, Fillmore NOLA started putting on incredible concerts in early 2019. The midsize venue is an extension of San Francisco’s iconic Fillmore, and the NOLA incarnation features its own version of the vintage posters, velvet curtains and signature crystal chandeliers. But this room offers a distinct NOLA twist, starting with the Louis Armstrong mural that greets you at the entrance.

Fillmore NOLA showcases top-tier artists — acts that could easily play large arenas but here perform more intimate shows. The first shows came courtesy of power rockers Coheed and Cambria, and ’80s legends Duran Duran. Foo Fighters later performed two one-of-a-kind concerts backed by New Orleans staples — Preservation Hall Jazz Band on one night and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue on the other. Cult rockers 311 did a four-night run in early 2020, while other memorable acts at the venue include rap titan Rick Ross, pop star Tori Kelly, dubstep DJ GRiZ and even Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead.
