The stadium is in the heart of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, which includes the Wells Fargo Center (home of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers), Citizens Bank Park (home of MLB’s Philadelphia Phillies) and the Xfinity Live! sports retail and entertainment facility.
Lincoln Financial Field, or The Linc as it’s commonly referred to by fans, opened in 2003 and underwent an expansive renovation in 2013. With its two wing-shaped canopies and balcony section dubbed the “Eagles Nest,” the 67,594-seat facility fully embodies the soaring mascot of its NFL host team. Along with serving as the home field throughout the Eagles’ three recent Super Bowl runs, including their 2018 championship trek, Lincoln Financial Field has housed countless top-tier live performances as well as special sporting events like the annual Army-Navy football game and the 2019 NHL Stadium Series. The Linc has also been selected to host Wrestlemania XL in 2024 and several matches during the World Cup in 2026.
The street address for Lincoln Financial Field is One Lincoln Financial Field Way, though the stadium recommends fans using GPS plug in the alternative address 1020 Pattison Avenue for directions.

Parking and Admission at Lincoln Financial Field
As part of a larger sports complex, Lincoln Financial Field has access to a vast network of lettered parking lots (A-X), with access varying based on scheduled events at other facilities. Guests should check the Lincoln Financial Fields website before attending events to get details on parking rules and restrictions for specific event dates. Lots A-P are closest in proximity to the stadium and are the only lots approved for tailgating. Pricing for general parking at those lots vary by event, but can cost around $40 for cars and $80 for oversized vehicles. Parking at FDR Park is $30. Lots typically open four-and-a-half hours before kick off.
Lincoln Financial Field can be accessed from I-95 South via exits 17 and 19, from 1-95 North via exits 17, 19 and 13, and from I-76 via Sports Complex exits 349 and 350.
Lincoln Financial Field can also be reached by public transportation using the SEPTA Broad Street Subway Line, with guests exiting at the last southbound stop at Pattison Avenue, and via bus Route 4 southbound to Broad Street.
Lincoln Financial Field Bag Policy
Guests planning to attend an event at Lincoln Financial Field should be aware of the stadium’s bag policy, which requires guests to limit personal items brought into the stadium to bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″ in size and small clutch bags not larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″. For a full list of prohibited items, visit Lincoln Financial Field’s website before arriving at the stadium.
Can I bring a vape into Lincoln Financial Field?
No, you cannot bring a vape into Lincoln Financial Field. Smoking, including vaping, is prohibited in all areas of the stadium, due to a Philadelphia city ordinance that prohibits smoking in public places (including sports facilities).

What is the shady side of Lincoln Financial Field?
At Lincoln Financial Field, the “shady side” is generally considered to be the west side of the stadium (home side), especially during late afternoon or evening games. This is due to the fact that the sun sets behind the stands on that side, casting shade over most of the seating area. For earlier games, the east side might be more shaded depending on the time of day.

Some local favorites include America’s Pie, Bassett’s BBQ, Love & Honey Fried Chicken, Philip’s Cheesesteaks, Zac’s Hamburgers and many more. World Cup at Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Stadium)
Lincoln Financial Field will be rebranded as Philadelphia Stadium during the 2026 World Cup. It will host six matches, including group stage matches, as well as a Round of 16 knockout match.
World Cup playing surface
Lincoln Financial Field’s surface is usually a mix of Bermuda grass and artificial turf, but for World Cup matches will be a blend of Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass. After the World Cup concludes, the standard playing surface will be restored ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2026 season.
World Cup seating and section changes
Upper deck seats will be removed from Lincoln Financial Field to create additional seating for media members, while corner seats will also temporarily be removed to make space for the soccer pitch. However, there will be temporary seating added to the stadium during World Cup matches, and Lincoln Financial Field’s capacity will actually be 69,000 — nearly 1,500 more than its usual limit.
For fans going with young kids or as a family, sideline sections 209-218 are a good choice as they run along the pitch and have a full view of the action. Section 217 is an alcohol-free zone, which makes it a particular strong option for families with children. For those who are not as budget conscious and want to be closer to the action, the 100-level sections and lower level sections behind the goals provide more intense game day atmospheres.
World Cup security and access points
Security will be significantly heightened during the World Cup compared to a Philadelphia Eagles game. Plan to arrive 90–120 minutes before kickoff due to expanded security, which will include metal detectors, bag checks, and ID verifications.
Parking, transit, and tailgate options for World Cup
Lincoln Financial Field has 2,000 parking spaces directly outside the stadium, and nearly 20,000 more nearby when counting the entire South Philadelphia Sports Complex. During World Cup matches, all parking passes must be pre-purchased.
Public transit via SEPTA’s Broad Street Line stops directly at Lincoln Financial Field for those not interested in driving. Rideshare apps will not be able to pick up or drop off fans at Lincoln Financial Field, but can get them nearby at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, which makes for a short walk.
