Things to Do Near NRG Stadium Before & After an Event
NRG Stadium has served as the Houston Texans stadium since its opening in 2002. At the time, the complex made history as the very first NFL facility with a retractable roof and remains a crown jewel of the larger NRG Park, which also includes the Astrodome, NRG Arena, the MDAnderson Cancer Center Speedway and more.
Since its opening, NRG Stadium has become home to events as varied as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Texas Bowl and Super Bowls XXXVIII and LI — the latter of which included Lady Gaga’s unforgettable halftime show.
Before or after a Texans game — or any other event hosted at NRG Stadium — there’s so much to do in downtown Houston. Below, dive into Ticketmaster’s handy guide for recommendations about where to eat, drink, stay and experience live entertainment throughout the “Cultural Capital of the South.”
