Beats by the Beach: Miami’s Top Venues for Unforgettable Concerts

Viva Miami! Vibrant, glamorous and unforgettable, concerts in Miami are just like the city itself. Home to more than six million people from all walks of life, the Miami area is a natural draw for stars in the realms of pop, Latin, hip-hop, R&B and more, all of whom can play on the giant stages of stadiums and arenas, as well as theaters both indoor and outdoor, in the city.

Hard Rock Stadium

Home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium has been the city’s go-to venue for massive stadium tours by Madonna, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones and Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The stadium has also hosted Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival every year since 2018, which has featured headliners like ASAP Rocky, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Kid Cudi and Kendrick Lamar.

Kaseya Center, home of the NBA’s Miami Heat, has welcomed the likes of Shakira, Janet Jackson, Phish, The Weeknd and Rihanna over its 25-year history, and holds a capacity of 19,500 seats. The more intimate Waterfront Theater — still the largest indoor theater in the state — is also located within the arena complex.

FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park

Box office hours: Open on day of show at 12:00 p.m.

Just down Biscayne Boulevard from the Kaseya Center, FPL Solar Amphitheater provides a breathtaking outdoor music experience right on the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in what was the Greater Miami area’s very first communal gathering space. Reopened in 2009 following a multi-million dollar renovation, the amphitheater now holds up to 8,500 fans for concerts ranging from Jack Harlow, Paramore, Kali Uchis, Kanye West, The Cure and Nicki Minaj.

Located right next to the Miami Beach Convention Center, The Fillmore Miami Beach is a gorgeous Art Deco building that used to be the filming location for The Jackie Gleason Show in the late 1960s. The locale, formerly known as the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium, is now a 2,200-seat concert venue that has hosted Lizzo, Harry Styles, Madonna, The Flaming Lips and more.

Since 2005, Hard Rock Live has served as an entertainment hub for all of South Florida. Not to be confused with the similarly named stadium in downtown Miami, this 7,000-seat venue inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood has recently welcomed everyone from Bruno Mars and Romeo Santos to Ed Sheeran, Morrissey and Guns N’ Roses.
