US Open Ticket Prices (What to Expect)
Prices for US Open tickets vary based on a number of factors. Primarily, tennis fans can expect price differences between venues, seat locations, day sessions versus evening sessions and the tournament round.
As the tournament progresses, price fluctuations will typically occur based on the sessions’ matchups. Therefore, the best time to buy tickets to the US Open is typically when they first go on sale via Ticketmaster, the Official Fan Ticket Marketplace of the US Open.
- On average, the most expensive tickets are located closest to the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium, followed by reserved seating at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
- Guests at the US Open can also find high value seats in Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium at lower cost during select matches, particularly earlier in the tournament and within higher sections for reserved seating.
- Grandstand tickets and Grounds Passes offer the best deals with wide-ranging access to USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Tickets for the US Open can range from $300-$400.
Grounds Pass vs Stadium Tickets: What’s the Difference?
Choosing between a Grounds Pass and stadium seating at the US Open depends on a guest’s ideal experience, including access, budget, match atmosphere and general fandom.
A US Open Grounds Pass allows tennis fans to customize their visit with first-come, first-served seating at all courts except Arthur Ashe Stadium. With a lower average ticket price, the Grounds Pass gives greater schedule flexibility to move between venues, catch more players during simultaneous matchups or spend time exploring the Grounds while matches are being played.
On the other hand, stadium tickets guarantee fans a seat at one of USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center’s premier venues. Although stadium ticket prices tend to be higher compared to Grounds Passes, dedicated tennis fans can ensure their spot at the most competitive rounds of the tournament with a stadium ticket, along with a wider range of viewing options based on their budget and seat preference.
How to Choose the Best US Open Ticket for You
While the US Open hosts over one million guests over three weeks, every fan can choose a unique experience tailored to their preferences and needs each year. To find the right pass for you, consider the following:
- First-Time Attendees: Opt for the Grounds Pass to take in the US Open environment with free-ranging access to the Grounds and loose, low-cost General Admission seating
- Big Match Spectators: Grab tickets to Arthur Ashe Stadium, where most of the higher-ranked athletes compete all the way to the US Open finals
- Value Seekers: Buy reserved seats at Louis Armstrong Stadium or the Grandstand for a mix of great views, high-level competition and General Admission access at a lower cost than Arthur Ashe Stadium tickets
How to Buy US Open Tickets Last-Minute
Once the tournament begins, tennis fans can still purchase US Open tickets via Ticketmaster up until the start of the match or session. As the Official Fan Ticket Marketplace of the US Open, Ticketmaster offers tickets for purchase that are verified and delivered securely up to one hour after the first match begins each day.
