Ameris Bank Amphitheatre History
A beautiful, parklike setting is one reason visitors love this 12,000-seat outdoor venue on the north side of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Originally opened in 2008 as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park and renamed in 2017, the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre sits in the heart of Alpharetta, minutes away from Georgia highway 400.
Ameris Bank Amphitheatre Performers
The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre has a long and rich history as the place to enjoy special concerts by the world-renowned Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (and yes, the music of Game of Thrones is now in their repertoire). The Amphitheatre’s busy summer seasons also feature some of the best and biggest in the business: Jimmy Buffett, Steely Dan, Keith Urban and Santana have all been recent visitors. Stops by Korn and Slipknot’s Knotfest Roadshow have made for heavier evenings.
Planning Your Visit to Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
Among the many charms of nearby Alpharetta is a restaurant scene that, although in the suburbs, is buzzy and fun. Local, not-so-well-kept secrets include South Main Kitchen, Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar and Lapeer. Vinny’s is a local favorite on Windward Parkway.
