How Ticketmaster Request Works

Ticketmaster Request is a simple way to request tickets to popular shows, so you don’t have to compete in a first-come, first-served sale. You can take your time to review the available options and request the right tickets for you. If it’s available for your event, all you need to do is tell us which show(s) you’re interested in, the type of ticket you want and your payment details. If tickets that match your request are available, your card will be charged, and we’ll email you instructions on how to claim them.

Sometimes, the number of people interested in a show outweighs the number of tickets available, meaning that not everyone who submits a request is guaranteed tickets. In these instances, the Event Organizer determines how the tickets are distributed. If your request can’t be fulfilled, your card will not be charged.

If you’re submitting requests for multiple shows, you’re committing to purchase all the tickets you’ve selected. This means that if you request two tickets for five different dates, it’s possible to be confirmed for all five shows and get charged for 10 tickets.

Ready to submit your ticket request?

  1. Sign in to your Ticketmaster account, or create a new one. If Request is available, you’ll see an option to select the show(s) you want to attend and the type of tickets you want.
  2. Enter your payment details to complete your request. You won’t be charged unless your request can be fulfilled.
  3. If your request is fulfilled, your card will be charged and we’ll email you a confirmation with instructions on how to claim your tickets.

FAQs

What happens after I submit a ticket request?

We’ll send you a summary email that details the show(s) and ticket(s) you’ve requested. Your card won’t be charged at this time. After the registration period has closed, you’ll get an email letting you know if your request has been fulfilled. If confirmed, your card will be charged, and you’ll receive instructions on how to claim your tickets so they appear in your Ticketmaster account. All sales are final and refunds will not be available.

What happens if my request isn’t confirmed?

Your card won’t be charged. If there are other opportunities to purchase tickets, that information will be made clear on the Ticketmaster event page.

Can I request tickets for more than one show?

Yes, you can submit requests for multiple dates where there is more than a single show available. When you do, you’re committing to purchase the ticket(s) if your request is confirmed. This means that if you request two tickets for five different dates, it’s possible to be confirmed for all five shows and get charged for 10 tickets.

I’ve registered for one date. Can I edit it and add another?

Only one request per email address is counted. This means if you submit a request for one date, and then go back to add a second, it will cancel your original request for the first date. To add a second date to your request, you need to submit a new request that includes both shows.

Can I change my request?

If you want to change your original request, you need to submit a new request. You can submit a new, updated request at any time during the request window. To submit a new request, return to the event’s Ticketmaster Request page and sign in. Your new request will override any previous requests.

Can I cancel a request?

You can cancel your request at any time during the request window. To cancel, return to the event’s Ticketmaster Request page and sign in. Tap “My Requests” in the top right menu, and follow the instructions. No cancellations will be accepted past the specified end date.

When will my card be charged?

Your card will be charged once registration closes and ticket requests have been fulfilled. Each event may have different closing times, so make sure you check the details before finalizing your request. To avoid declined transactions, please make sure your card has available funds to cover your maximum possible total. If your card is declined, you will lose your tickets.

What will the charge look like on my statement?

The charge will appear as Request* Ticketmaster, unless otherwise stated on the request confirmation page or in your confirmation email.

What is Ticketstoday?

Ticketstoday is the official provider of Ticketmaster Request and is a Ticketmaster company.

What if I don’t like the tickets I get?

Tickets are allocated by the Event Organizer to maximize the number of successful requests, and your card will be charged at the time that your request is fulfilled. All sales are final.

Can I transfer tickets? What if I can’t go?

If the artist has restricted transfer as a way to reduce scalper activity, this will be published in the event details. In these cases, fans will often be able to sell their unwanted tickets on the Face Value Ticket Exchange.

Why was my credit card charged before receiving an email confirmation?

Check the email you registered with and search for an email from Ticketstoday — a Ticketmaster company. If you still haven’t received a confirmation, your bank may be slightly ahead and post a charge to your account before our emails are sent out.

Is there a ticket limit?

It depends on the event, but most events will have a ticket limit. This allows for as many fans as possible to get tickets. Some artists may offer their fan club members added benefits, including access to more tickets or certain packages. The full details of each Ticketmaster Request program will be available on the event page.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my ticket request?

We’re here to help. Email us at customerservice@ticketstoday.com. If you’re reaching out with questions about your request, make sure to have your receipt number, email and the last four numbers of the credit card used to submit your request.
