Things to Do Near Nissan Stadium Before & After an Event
Nissan Stadium has been the Tennessee Titans stadium since 1999, just two seasons after the team moved to Nashville. Originally named Adelphia Coliseum, the 69,153-seat stadium became Nissan Stadium in 2015, after the Japanese car manufacturer — whose North American headquarters is just outside of the city — purchased the naming rights.
Aside from its duties as an NFL stadium, the athletic complex is also used as the home field of the Tennessee State University football team and hosts the TransPerfect Music City Bowl each postseason. Nissan Stadium also regularly hosts soccer matches for the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams, and was the home pitch for Major League Soccer club Nashville SC from 2020 to 2021.
The first concert held at Nissan Stadium took place in April 2000, with George Strait, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride and Kenny Chesney. Since then, it’s also welcomed A-list stadium tours by Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs, Elton John and many others, in addition to holding concerts each year for CMA Fest.
Before or after a Titans game — or any other event hosted at Nissan Stadium — there’s always plenty to eat, drink and do in the greater Nashville area. Below, explore Ticketmaster’s handy guide for recommendations about where to eat, stay and experience live entertainment in Music City.
