Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre History
The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre opened on June 14, 1991, with a performance from Steve Winwood. The venue has gone under various names throughout its existence: the Riverport Amphitheatre from 1991-2002, the UMB Bank Pavilion between 2002-2006, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater St. Louis between 2007-2014, reaching its current name in 2014.
Principally operating in the summer months, the venue has welcomed numerous iconic acts onto its massive stage. During the summer of 2000, the bands REO Speedwagon and Styx performed at the venue together, recording and releasing their live album, Arch Allies Live at Riverport. In addition to welcoming many standout acts to its stage — Kendrick Lamar, Paul McCartney, Snoop Dogg and Lana Del Rey — the amphitheater has hosted various festivals including Lilith Fair in 2010, Farm Aid in 2020, and Lollapalooza in 2003.

The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is an open-air music and entertainment venue that is split between a seated front section under the awning, an interchangeable seated or standing area and a lawn space. Regardless of where guests are located, the huge stage offers stellar views and acoustics from every vantage point, with six screens broadcasting the stage located around the venue. While the massive stage is typically the focus of all attention, the gorgeous outdoor setting provides a balance between the night’s entertainment and the serenity of nature.
Seating and Viewing Options
Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre has a capacity for 20,000 fans in total — there are seats underneath the roof and spaces on the lawn available for reservation. Lawn chairs are no longer allowed to be brought into the venue but are available for rent once admitted to the venue. Blankets, small umbrellas without metal tips, strollers and baby carriers are allowed into the venue. Guests with VIP tickets have access to the VIP Lounge flanking the stage.

Parking and Admission at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre
Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is located at 14141 Riverport Drive, Maryland Heights MO, 63043. It is situated one mile west of the I-270 and I-70 interchange at I-70 and Maryland Heights Expressway South (EXIT 231A). Doors open 1-2 hours before showtime and all guests should be mindful of the moderate traffic levels before and after the shows. Parking vouchers are available for purchase at the same time as ticket purchases.
All bags coming into the venue need to be clear plastic/vinyl and measure no larger than 12″ x 6 x 12″. All bags that do not meet the venue requirements can be stored at the bag check building near the main entrance for $10/bag or returned to your vehicle. Small personal cameras are allowed; professional cameras are not permitted. Video cameras are not allowed. Other prohibited items include: weapons, alcohol, controlled substances, glass, metal, cans, soft drinks, fireworks, frisbees, laser pens, pets and banners with sticks.
Children under the age of 2 have free admission but must sit on a lap. Any child using a seat must have a ticket.

Once inside, guests can satisfy any hunger pangs with the various concession stands and bars located around the venue.
