Can’t-Miss Touring Broadway Shows to See in 2026
Not in NYC? Not a problem. A promising assortment of amazing shows continue to hit the road after (or amid) impressive runs on Broadway — and we’ve rounded up the ones you should put at the top of your list.
In 2026, major Broadway tours are expected to visit cities across North America, including touring productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Hell’s Kitchen and The Great Gatsby. The best way to see which Broadway shows are coming to your city is to check each show’s tour schedule, local venue calendar, or Ticketmaster event page for confirmed dates and ticket availability.
When a Broadway show is touring, that means a production is visiting various locations beyond Broadway in New York, NY — with a cast and crew traveling to different cities across the U.S. (or even internationally). While some original Broadway cast members may tour, touring productions generally feature a new cast that was specifically assembled for the road.
After making it there, they’re taking it everywhere! Here’s our full guide to the top musicals touring in 2026.

The Outsiders
Tulsa, 1967. As The Outsiders opens, young Ponyboy Curtis is searching for meaning in his life, caught in a never-ending gang war between his Greaser friends and the upper-crust Socs. The 2024 Tony winner for Best Musical is based on S.E. Hinton’s boundary-breaking 1967 novel and features a rousing score by Americana band Jamestown Revival.

All across North America, the hills are alive with The Sound of Music. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic continues its legacy as one of the most beloved entries in the musical theater canon with its latest touring production.
