The Cast of Beetlejuice Conjures the Ultimate Halloween Playlist

Say it once, say it twice, but don’t tempt fate — it’s Halloween week, and the cast of Beetlejuice on Broadway is here to share a spooky playlist to get us all into the holiday spirit.

Beetlejuice first arrived on Broadway in the spring of 2019. True to the story — with a plot matching the 1988 film of the same name — the production has gone through a number of deaths and revivals, with its current run marking the third time the show has delighted legions of fans on Broadway. (“Beetlejuice…Beetlejuice…” Third time’s the charm.)

There’s no better time of year to experience the story of Beetlejuice, which follows Adam and Barbara Maitland, a recently deceased couple confined to their home as ghosts. When an irritating new family moves in, they hire a malicious spirit, our titular character, in hopes of driving away the new residents.

Megan McGinnis and Will Burton are currently inhabiting the characters of Barbara and Adam, and they stepped into their roles for Ticketmaster to talk through what their characters would be listening to right now were they able to throw a Halloween party.

“When we were alive, we loved Halloween!” they explain. “We often wore couples’ costumes — last year we were Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked! If we weren’t recently deceased, we would love to throw a good ole-fashioned Halloween bash.”

Catch Beetlejuice at the Palace Theatre until January 3, 2026. And below, see what songs Megan and Will picture Barbara and Adam bumping in the afterlife.
