The Depot History
Since opening in 2006, The Depot has been one of Salt Lake City’s leading indoor concert venues. Located downtown, at 13 North 400 West in the historic Union Pacific Building at The Gateway Mall, the multi-floor venue boasts great views, a state-of-the-art sound system and a packed schedule featuring top international bands and DJs.

The Depot has welcomed both legendary artists and up-and-coming musicians to its intimate space. In its first few years, it became a hot spot for big names in alt and indie rock, including Sigur Ros, My Morning Jacket and Built to Spill. Since then it’s seen memorable shows from classic rock heroes Robert Plant and Jeff Beck, pop hitmakers Dua Lipa and Julia Michaels, and rap icons Snoop Dogg and Warren G.
Planning Your Visit to The Depot
Situated across the street from the Utah Jazz’s Delta Center, The Depot is in a prime downtown location. Public transportation is handy, including a nearby TRAX light rail station. There are several paid parking facilities. Your best bet for a pre-show meal or drink is at the connected Gateway Mall, which features the high-end HallPass food court. There, you can load up on lobster rolls at Colossal Lobster, southern comfort dishes at Blaze of Thunder, or healthy burgers and bowls at SkinnyFats, among other artisanal options.
