Blocks from Comerica Park and next to the Fox Theatre, Fillmore Detroit opened in 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, as a movie house. The venue was later known as the State Theatre and the Palms Theatre, but was christened the Fillmore in 2007. The 2,900-capacity facility has been renovated but still boasts vintage touches such as original chandeliers and a majestic lobby.
