When the AVidXchange Music Factory entertainment complex in Uptown Charlotte’s Fourth Ward opened in 2009, the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre became the crown jewel of the incredible collection of bars, restaurants and music venues. Back then, it was known simply as the Uptown Amphitheatre in the “NC Music Factory” complex and even had a brief stint as the Road Runner Mobile Amphitheatre before gaining the name Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre. The sweeping outdoor space has a capacity of 5,000, with 2,000 reserved seats and another 3,000 on the sloped lawn. The venue boasts pristine sight lines to the stage, along with views of Charlotte’s skyline.

Since the venue’s first concert featuring The Fray, Jack’s Mannequin and Richard Swift, shows at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre typically run from late April to early October to coincide with warm weather.
