Iconic Cincinnati Venue – Bogart’s

Bogart’s History

Located in the ShortVine entertainment district, Bogart’s is one of the most legendary venues in the Cincinnati area. The space, which sits right near the University of Cincinnati campus in the Corryville neighborhood, originally opened in 1905 as a vaudeville theater. The venue later operated as a movie theater, as well as a restaurant and entertainment space called Inner Circle, before opening as Bogart’s in the mid 1970s.

Bogart’s Performers

Bogart’s is known for booking the greats — James Brown and Ramones have played the venue — and landing bands before they’re arena-sized; alums include Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, Slayer, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg and The Strokes. In addition to music, Bogart’s has also hosted legendary comedians such as Billy Crystal and Cheech & Chong.
