Home of the Miami Heat
Welcome to Kaseya Center: accessible to the most bustling areas of Magic City, and home of the NBA’s Miami Heat.
Opened on New Year’s Eve in 1999, the Kaseya Center serves as the centerpiece of downtown Miami’s waterfront region. Kaseya Center is located at 601 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132.
Kaseya Center History
Kaseya Center opened as the American Airlines Arena on December 31, 1999, with a construction cost of $213 million. It was renamed to FTX Arena from 2021–2023, then Miami-Dade Arena for a brief span in 2023. Since April 2023, the naming rights to the arena have belonged to Kaseya, a Miami-based company that provides IT and security management software for businesses.
The Heat may call the Kaseya Center home, but the indoor arena also hosts a multitude of other events. Its concert lineup has featured luminaries such as Rihanna, Adele, Maroon 5, Shakira, and Ariana Grande. Appropriately, the arena’s official inauguration was a concert by the Queen of Miami, Gloria Estefan.
Aside from concerts, the Kaseya Center has also hosted notable WWE events, the first-ever UFC event in Florida, and the annual Hoophall Miami Invitational – a showcase for Division 1 college basketball in partnership with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The arena has also cohosted six NBA Finals since its opening, with the Heat coming out victorious in three of those matchups (2006, 2012, and 2013).
