Home of the Brooklyn Nets
Located at the intersection of Atlantic and Flatbush avenues in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, Barclays Center has been a premiere New York City venue for sporting events and concerts since it opened in 2012. It is the home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the WNBA’s New York Liberty.
Barclays Center History
Along with being the home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the WNBA’s New York Liberty, at one point it was also where the NHL’s New York Islanders played home games. Barclays Center hosts major entertainment and sports events of all kinds. The arena cost $1 billion to build and the first ever event it hosted was a Jay-Z concert on September 28, 2012. When the Liberty made the 2023 WNBA Finals games, the arena was the site of two games, and Barclays Center has also hosted numerous NBA playoff games when the Nets have made the postseason.
With its innovative design and intimate seating configuration, Barclays Center has been widely recognized as one of America’s best and most versatile venues.
Parking and Admission at Barclays Center
Parking for events at Barclays Center is limited, however there are pay-lots available in the area; all lots affiliated with the venue have ADA accessible parking spots available. The Barclays Center recommends using public transportation, and a total of 11 subway lines and 11 bus routes lead directly to the stadium.
Barclays Center management is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of all guests. Information and policies/rules for attending any Barclays Center event can be found on the venue’s official site. Guests who violate any of the policies will be escorted by security out of the arena. Barclays Center management reserves the right to suspend season ticket privileges for guests who do not comply with these event policies.
Barclays Center Capacity & Seating Options
With a capacity of up to 17,732 for basketball games and 19,000 for concerts, Barclays Center offers a full range of options, including courtside seats for basketball and ringside seats for boxing. The arena also features multiple clubs and bars for patrons at events to enjoy, such as the 40/40 Club on the Barclays Suite Level and the Qatar Airways Club on the Event Level.
