Rauw Alejandro’s Top 10 Songs

In the past five years, Rauw Alejandro has gone from the prince of perreo to global pop superstar. The Puerto Rican singer is a modern day song and dance man, and that’s reflected in his choreography-heavy concerts.

Alejandro got his start by embracing reggaeton from his home island of Puerto Rico and has since pushed the genre with his hits that infuse elements of R&B, EDM, pop, and more. Alejandro dipped more into the history of his homeland with his 2024 album Cosa Nuestra, which features his take on salsa music.

You’ll soon get to see him in action during his Cosa Nuestra World Tour. Before it kicks off in April 2025, here are 10 of our favorite Rauw Alejandro songs that we hope he performs.

Upcoming Rauw Alejandro Concerts

10. “Dile A Él”

Though Alejandro is known for his upbeat songs, “Dile A Él” is one of his more meditative offerings. We’re taking it back to his first album Afrodisíaco, which was released in 2020. In the mid-tempo reggaeton track, Alejandro sings to an ex that still has him on her mind. “Tell me if he does it like I do/ Because my name was tattooed on your skin,” he croons to her in Spanish. The hypnotic ending foreshadowed his relationship with Spanish singer Rosalía, who appears in an uncredited cameo. “Dile A Él” was a precursor to their collaborative EP, 2023’s RR, that culminated with their breakup later that year.

9. “2:12 AM” featuring Latin Mafia

Alejandro tapped into a freakier side of his artistry with Latin Mafia. In the funky standout from 2024’s Cosa Nuestra (Our Thing), he joined forces with the genre-bending trio from Mexico City. Alejandro sings with Latin Mafia’s Emilio and Milton de la Rosa about falling in love in the middle of a rager. “This complicity of my mouth and your skin/ Even if we explain it, they won’t understand,” the trio soulfully harmonizes in Spanish together. Alejandro and Latin Mafia bridge their two worlds of music for one of the most fun songs in both of their repertoires.

8. “Qué Pasaría…” featuring Bad Bunny

One of the most long-awaited collaborations in reggaeton music finally happened on Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra album, when he teamed up with fellow Puerto Rican phenom Bad Bunny for the sexy reggaeton banger “Qué Pasaría…” Backed by a refreshing fusion of perreo and EDM, Alejandro and Bad Bunny ask the listener what they would do if they ever had alone time with them. “And if we hook up again, who cares?/ This is our business when the urge hits,” Alejandro reassures us in Spanish. The two titans of Latin pop made their fans’ wildest dreams come true in this knockout collaboration.

7. “Química” featuring Zion & Lennox, Mr. NaisGai and the Martinez Brothers

With his first album Afrodisíaco, Alejandro was already re-imagining the world of reggaeton in his own way. He blended his love of dance, house music and reggaeton in the genre-bending “Química.” The song starts out as a romantic reggaeton song with the pioneers of the genre Zion & Lennox. At the halfway point, the song transforms into a rave-ready banger with the help of long-time producer Mr. NaisGai and EDM duo the Martinez Brothers. Amidst the switch, Alejandro commands in Spanish, “We don’t get tired/ We’re already going for round three.” This one is guaranteed to keep the party going all night long.

6. “Tú Con Él”

The title of Alejandro’s 2024 Cosa Nuestra album is taken from Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe’s 1969 collaborative album of the same name, where the two Puerto Rican legends made a statement with Cosa Nuestra to say that salsa music belongs to the Boricuas. Alejandro reclaims that sentiment on his latest album and pays homage to the salseros that came before him with his cover of “Tú Con Él” by Frankie Ruiz. Though Alejandro is known for his reggaeton songs, he proves that salsa music is also in his wheelhouse with his captivating and faithful rendition. “In the end, I made myself a little hard to forget/ Pardon me,” he winkingly sings in Spanish.

5. “2/Catorce”

“2/Catorce” (2/Fourteen) is one of the most famous songs in Alejandro’s repertoire for multiple reasons—one being that the alluring reggaeton track has become a sexy anthem for Valentine’s Day. On this standout from his 2021 sophomore album Vice Versa, Alejandro is frank about how he spends the most romantic day of the year with his lover. “And in my ear you will scream/ That you’ll always love me/ And that I’m the owner of all of your body parts,” he promises in Spanish. The song has rightfully become a fan favorite at his live shows.

4. “Desenfocao'”

One of the most experimental songs in Alejandro’s repertoire is also one of his best. With his second album Vice Versa, Alejandro started to establish himself more as a daring Latin pop star that’s not bound to one genre. On the intoxicating “Desenfocao’,” he seamlessly blends synth-pop and funk music as he sings about seeking comfort while trying to forget his ex. “I don’t wanna be like this/ But it makes me feel so good ’cause she’s not here,” Alejandro concedes in Spanish. A feel-good anthem that’s also a live staple.

3. “Lokera” featuring Lyanno and Brray

With his third album Saturno, Alejandro was looking to the future of reggaeton. On the explosive “Lokera,” he mixes old-school perreo with elements of rave-ready EDM, joining forces with his long-time collaborator Lyanno to turn up the heat with their flirtatious flow: “Tonight, I’m dangerous/ She is not my wife, but I’ll be her husband,” Alejandro sings in Spanish. He rounds out the seductive collaboration with another one of Puerto Rico’s rising talents, Brray. It’s all an homage to the gritty era of underground reggaeton from the island, with a refreshing update that only Alejandro can bring to the genre.

2. “Desesperados” featuring Chencho Corleone

Alejandro bridges the past and present of perreo with another one of his anthems, “Desesperados.” The Vice Versa album was first released with a mysterious 17-second interlude called “Track 4.” A few months later, Alejandro revealed “Track 4” was being replaced by a surprise collaboration with ex-Plan B member Chencho Corleone. On the alluring reggaeton banger, Alejandro and Corleone sing about feeling so aroused by their lovers that they have to pull over to the side of the road. “I have booked the hotel, but with this desire, we won’t arrive/ We are two desperate people, so we had to park,” Alejandro concedes. This duo turns feelings of desperation into one of Alejandro’s hottest songs.

1. “Todo De Ti”

Though Alejandro is known for his reggaeton songs, his biggest global smash is actually a pure blast of pop music. “Todo De Ti” is the gem of both his Vice Versa album and his entire repertoire. He beautifully captures the rush of falling in love on the disco-infused dance track, serenading his lover with sweet lyrics in Spanish like, “Out of everything about you, which do I pick?/ It’s because I like everything about you.” The feel-good music video features Alejandro showing off his incredible dance moves on rollerskates with a surprise cameo from Shaquille O’Neal. Everything that we love about Alejandro is best encompassed in this dreamy song, which continues to keep the packed crowds at his concerts moving.
