Who Is Simone Biles?
Simone Biles is a gymnast from Spring, Texas. Standing at just 4’8”, she is the most decorated gymnast in history, having won seven Olympic medals (including seven gold, two silver and two bronze) and 30 World Championships medals over the course of her decorated career. At the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, she was part of Team USA’s “Final Five,” taking home the country’s third gold medal in the team event along with Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian. During the 2020 Games in Tokyo, Japan, Biles withdrew from the majority of her events due to a medical phenomenon in gymnastics known as “the twisties.” In between the two Games, she competed in Season 24 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, where she placed fourth with partner Sasha Farber.
