2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic Brought 47,313 Fans to Epic Outdoor Game

The 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic took place in Seattle, Washington on New Year’s Day (January 1, 2024), bringing over 47,000 fans to T-Mobile Park for an exciting outdoor game.

The NHL’s tentpole event—one of three exhibitions celebrating hockey’s outdoor origins—featured the Seattle Kraken versus the reigning Stanley Cup-champion Vegas Golden Knights. With appearances and performances from Seattle’s own Heart and Sir Mix-A-Lot, not to mention the Kraken’s 3-0 win, it was an undeniable Seattle takeover for the books.

Ticketmaster was on the ground all day to capture the festive atmosphere, from hundreds of fans trying their skills at the Ticketmaster Bullseye Battle at the Enterprise NHL Fan Village to the sold-out baseball stadium crowd of 47,313 showing their love for their team as they rang in 2024.

If you weren’t able to make it to the Classic, no fear—there will be more opportunities this winter to witness some of the most exciting action the NHL has to offer. NHL All Star Weekend takes place from February 2-3 in Toronto, Canada, followed by the NHL Stadium Series from February 17-18 in East Rutherford, NJ. Grab NHL tickets at Ticketmaster, the Official Marketplace of the NHL.
