Philadelphia Union at Talen Energy Stadium
Philadelphia Union joined Major League Soccer as an expansion franchise and played their first game in 2010. They beat Seattle Sounders SC to win their first match at their new home, the soccer-specific Talen Energy Stadium (formerly known as PPL Park).
The Union had their best season in 2018, winning 15 games, qualifying for the MLS Cup playoffs, and finishing as runner-up in the U.S. Open Cup. Fafa Picault and Cory Burke tied for the team lead with 10 goals apiece, and the future looks bright for the Union.
The Philadelphia Union play in the Eastern Conference of MLS. The other members of the Eastern Conference are Atlanta United FC, the Chicago Fire, FC Cincinnati, New York Red Bulls, D.C. United, Montreal Impact, Columbus Crew SC, New York City FC, Toronto FC, Orlando City SC, and New England Revolution.
