#ThrowbackThursday. A day for us to throwback and reminisce on the past. For us music lovers, we like to look back on the bands that have changed our lives and the industry forever. We nod to artists like Elvis and the Rolling Stones for keeping a lasting impression in the live entertainment industry. Not many artists and bands have been able to carry on to each decade. Longevity is something to be recognized in music.

This week we’re throwing back with Motley Crue. As many of you know, the band has decided that this year’s tour will be their last after thirty years of rocking out! Before we bid farewell, let us look back at some of Motleys highlights as one of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Bands!

In 1981 Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee made the band Motley Crue. Together they defined modern music in the 80s. Each band member fully epitomized a hedonistic lifestyle – heavily tatted, outrageous clothing, dark make up, girls…you name it. One could say that their lifestyle was the reason they created great music and rocked hard. Other bands were at the forefront of the 80’s Sunset Strip scene in Los Angeles, but Motley Crue was the foundation. They brought the wild party off the strip and into suburban living rooms as they helped define the early MTV metal generation. The band continued to evolve as their success grew throughout the 90s and 00s. They have released nine albums and sold over 100 million albums internationally. Motley Crue is one of the most successful heavy metal bands in music history.

“He’s the one they call Dr. Feelgood. He’s the one that makes ya feel alright.” Thank you for the music, Motley Crue. You gave us misfits a voice, and with that we will always remember how you made us feel good.

Come say goodbye to one of the iconic band and join them on their Final Tour.
