The Ice Bucket Challenge to Benefit the ALS Association

The Ice Bucket Challenge to Benefit the ALS Association

Lady Gaga challenged Live Nation Entertainment President and CEO, Michael Rapino, to accept the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and donations for the ALS Association.

In turn, Michael challenged the entire Live Nation Entertainment family, including Ticketmaster and Live Nation teams and venues across North America and international locations.

…and thus the videos “poured” in (no pun intended – ok, ok maybe just a little).

Save Music Education with the International House of Blues Foundation

IHOBF saving music education

The future of music is dependent upon the education of our youth. But with budget cuts and economic crisis impacting our nation’s schools—especially in lower income areas—music education is often one of the first programs to disappear from the curriculum.

The International House of Blues Foundation, however, is working hard to make sure music education doesn’t become a thing of the past.

Ticketmaster (Red) Campaign World AIDS Day

Ticketmaster (Red) Campaign World AIDS Day

Every Dec. 1 for the past 25 years, people from around the world have come together to commemorate the fight against HIV/AIDS; to pay respect to those who have succumbed to AIDS and to support those currently living with HIV.

Each year, since 1988, they have done this by uniting to observe World AIDS Day.

This year’s World AIDS Day theme is “Shared Responsibility: Strengthening Results for an AIDS-Free Generation” and here at Ticketmaster, we’re doing our part to turn this theme into reality.

Through a special partnership with (RED)™, we’re raising money for the  Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which will be used towards prevention, treatment, counseling, HIV testing and care services for some of the poorest, most at-risk and marginalized groups facing HIV and AIDS in Africa. For every Ticketmaster mobile app downloaded Nov. 4 –30—and available for free in the iTunes® store and in the Android store—Ticketmaster made a donation to the Global Fund**.

We’re also encouraging you as fans to get involved.

Now and until Dec. 15, anytime you purchase tickets for concerts, sports, theatre and family events through Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com, you can make a $5 contribution that will go towards the Global Fund—towards much-needed monies for more services and medicines in densely affected areas.

 And, we’re not stopping there.

We’re encouraging our employees to donate, matching their contributions, up to $10,000.

2013 marks the first time we’ve collaborated with (RED)™ to benefit the Global Fund, a campaign that has raised more than $215 million and positively impacted 14 million people*. Through our combined efforts with our fans and employees, we’re hoping to build upon the critical work that this organization has already done.
