Sometimes we can get so wrapped up with our sports heroes that we overlook the people who do heroic deeds off the court. That’s why Ticketmaster took some time on Friday, February 14th to honor one particular inspirational young man who exhibits great strength of character.

His name is Rondell Maxwell, and he’s fifteen years old.Rondell Maxwell from Boys and Girls Club of America

Rondell is a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana, through which he has been making a positive impact on the community of Gretna for four years. According to the Boys and Girls Club of America West Bank Unit Director Tim Joyce, “He’s the young man the other children in the neighborhood look up to.”

On Friday, February 14th Ticketmaster teamed up with former NBA player and 2006 NBA Coach of the Year Avery Johnson and presented Rondell with an NBA All-Star Game gift package, which included two tickets to the All-Star Game, two Tip-Off Welcome Reception tickets, two tickets to NBA’s Jam Session, two All-Star Saturday Night tickets, an All-Star jersey and basketball, and a tote bag with a shooting shirt and gift vouchers.
