Ticketmaster Joins Music Industry in Supporting Lifebeat for World AIDS Day

Lifebeat Music Fights HIV

On December 1st, World AIDS Day, Ticketmaster will donate $.10 for every ticket purchased through Ticketmaster to Lifebeat. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster call centers, and/or at participating retail outlets including Walmart locations, Simon Malls and Taubman Centers. Lifebeat was founded in 1992 and leverages music and the music industry to educate young people on HIV/AIDS prevention and provide the healing power of music to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Last year, Ticketmaster donated more than $22,000, which enabled Lifebeat to provide safer sex education to over 30,000 concert goers throughout the US and put on over 200 live concerts in 2011 for people living with HIV/AIDS in the New York City and Washington, D.C. areas.

Thanks and Giving® for St. Jude on Ticketmaster: Buy Tickets and Help the Kids of St. Jude

For the third consecutive year, fans purchasing event tickets on Ticketmaster can chose to add a $1 or $5 donation to their order, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. One hundred percent of all donations will directly support the lifesaving work of St. Jude for children with cancer and other deadly diseases.

The St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign is an annual holiday fundraising campaign in which shoppers, celebrities and corporations unite to save children’s lives and support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Fans can select to donate on Ticketmaster.com from November 16th through the end of the year.

Through this program, Ticketmaster has helped raise more than $600,000 for St. Jude, which helps to provide care and treatments for some of the world’s sickest children.
